Yoga Teacher Level II

Yana McBride literally lives, breathes & eats yoga! Her passion for Yoga commenced 16 years ago.

As the owner of the YanaYoga Studio she takes an enormous amount of pride in ensuring that all people who walk through her Studio doors feel welcome & are treated with dignity, respect & given the encouragement to achieve exactly what it is that brought them to this calming oasis in the middle of ‘Loganholme’.

Sri K Pattabhi Jois was Yana’s Ashtanga Yoga Master in 2006, where she studied under his guidance in the town of Mysore, India. Yana has also studied under various other Yoga Masters as she traveled throughout India between 2003-2007.

Vipassana Meditation is another passion which Yana has been deeply influenced by & this has led her to participate in four different Vipassana retreats throughout Australia. All of which involved 10 days of silent meditation.

As a Mother of two delightfully energetic boys, Yana also understands the benefits of keeping body, mind & spirit in balance. This juggle as a Mum, Business owner & Yoga Teacher have shown that she is a truly dedicated, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, caring & dynamic woman with a good dose a humor thrown in to the mix!

Yoshi is a certified yoga teacher originally from Japan. For the last 17 years Yoshi calls Australia his home. Over the few years he developed a strong passion for Ashtanga yoga. However his yoga journey started with Bikram Yoga (hot yoga).

As Yoshi described his experience: ‘First 5 or 6 years of my yoga practice, I rigorously practiced Bikram Yoga, to the point where I took every single class (each class 90 minutes) in a week, which was 21 classes in a week at my local studio. It was a crazy week and it was too much on my body and ego, and I promised myself that I would never do this practice-every-single-class-in-a-week-challenge ever again!!!’

Since then Yoshi has been practicing Ashtanga yoga regularly under the guidance of well-known senior Ashatanga yoga teachers. Recently, Yoshi completed yoga teacher training in Koh Samui, Thailand where he studied and practiced yoga, meditation, pranayama, chanting and philosophy. Then he went to Japan for a week straight away from the graduation, then Bali for another 1 week, straight after Japan, to practice under the guidance of Ashtanga lineage holder, Sarath Jois.

Yoshi is very inspiring and caring teacher. Come and practice with Yoshi and he will inspire you continue your yoga journey on daily basis!
